Pumpkin and Leaves

This month flew by...and here is my final black and white illustration. Next month I'm back to color while collecting herbs.

2.25.2011

Mayo and Mustard

Another perfect pair.

2.24.2011

Strawberries and Cantaloupe

Cantaloupe is one of those odd fruits that actually makes you feel full.

2.23.2011

Sliced Lemon and Flowers

It has been amazingly warm here for February...that I must draw more spring lemons.

2.22.2011

Lemon and Birds

Anything with lemon is extra special...water, cookies, cake, salad...

2.21.2011

Pineapples and Topiary

Pineapples are such pretty fruits, so I just had to pair them with pretty topiaries.

2.18.2011

Mangoes and Leaves

You know, I think I've only had mangoes one or twice in my life.

2.17.2011

Wooden Spoons and Pie

I had a wooden spoon request...thanks to Cook in a Bar!

2.16.2011

Flowers and Pomegranates

I just tried chocolate-covered pomegranate seeds...oh my!

2.15.2011

Bacon and Eggs

For some reason my son is on a bacon kick too.

2.14.2011

Sandwich and Birds

One thing my son loves is sandwiches. Happy Valentine's Day!

2.11.2011

Pie and Apples

Fruit pies are nice, but add a cream cheese base and wa-la!

2.10.2011

Wreath and Berries

Wreaths symbolize a happy family. Add berries to make them even happier.

2.09.2011

Syrup and Pancakes

This pairing is always sticky...but good.

2.08.2011

Cherry Cake and Swirls

Cherries are so sweet, but popped into a cake double good.

2.07.2011

Pickles and Leaves

You can't go wrong with a jar of pickles...though our jars empty fast.

2.04.2011

Oranges and Flowers

One of my favorite scents...orange (blueberry is a close second).

2.03.2011

Bird and Pears

There is something really lovely about a sliced pear.

Black and White

This month I'm stripping down...to pure black and white.

I've been needing a collection of simple line drawings to use for future projects, so thought I'd start here. I use these when creating digital art for web banners, paperware designs, fabric patterns, etc.

I'll just draw what pops into my head, plus whatever you suggest (via comments, Facebook or Twitter). And here we go...
