I love cucumbers and my husband loves tomatoes, but neither of us like the opposite. The result is the "swap". When we are at a restaurant peering into our mixed salads, we each poke the appropriate vegetable with our fork and gently place it in our spouse's salad. The result is a salad monoculture making us both happy.
I'm such a romantic sap but I find that so sweet! And very practical.
ReplyDeleteIt definitely is practical...and I'll let my husband know that he does do some sweet things. :)
ReplyDeleteMy husband feels the same way about cucumbers, but we both hate tomatoes. The only problem is my husband feels the salad is "tainted" by the very presence of cucumbers, so we could never have your wonderful, sweet system.
ReplyDeleteOh no, a tainted cucumber salad?! :)
ReplyDeletePerfect! I can't stand cucumbers or olives (both of which my husband loves!) He, on the other hand, isn't nearly as picky as me. I am really enjoying your blog!
