You've heard the saying that a tomato is really a fruit...well, it's true.
The rest of these are also fruits. Botanically speaking, it's anything with a seed in it.
These are also all vegetables. Without getting too deep, the word vegetable is a culinary term, not a botanical one. If you're cooking they are vegetables, if you're classifying plants they are fruits. I'm sure I've over simplified this for the botanists out there, but hopefully you get the general idea. You can find the print here.

Sara Savoury

This is a family and friend favorite from Sara's Kitchen Creations. It's a pastry puff filled with lots of fabulous vegetables....including zucchini.
Which brings me to another topic - my garden is popping with zucchini so the next few posts will highlight them.

Tomato Finale

Somehow this month flew by and I still had lots more to say about tomatoes. Oh well, we'll have to focus on tomatoes again sometime. Until then we'll move to "Strawberry Circus" for June.

Yellow Pear Tomatoes

These are the cutest things. Small, pear-like tomatoes in a fun bright yellow. {Thanks for the suggestion Tara!}

Throwing Tomatoes
Does anyone know how the whole idea of throwing rotten tomatoes as a sign of distate began? And, really, how many people carry a satchel of smelly tomatoes to a presentation anyway?
On a good note, I'd like to thank Vicki at Simply Hue for featuring my artwork on her site this week. There's no throwing rotten tomatoes at that.
