Just Eat Cake

The next couple of weeks is about celebrating birthdays at our house.  All three of our kids (we planned well!) have birthdays within a couple of weeks of each other.  To celebrate, I've planned a few illustrations around the sweet and tasty cake.

Happy birthday!

Today is my mother-in-law's birthday.  She is a special person that always remembers every holiday, birthday and special event...with cards, gifts and phone calls.  Me, I'm lucky to get an email sent.  So today I've made her a special no-fat, digital birthday cake and many well wishes.  I am so pleased to have her (and the whole Orgler family) in my life.

Happy birthday Mom O.!!  I hope your day is extra nice.

Eat Cake

It's time to celebrate {again}! I made it to Foodbuzz's Project Food Blog Challenge #4. If you'd like to read my next challenge and VOTE just click here!

Though neither my husband nor I cook much, we're infatuated with those cake baking competitions. While watching one my husband blurted out this quote:

Another Birthday

Today is my son's eleventh birthday. You may be wondering why we've had so many celebrations the past couple of weeks...its because we didn't plan well and had all three of our kids within a two and a half week span. The end of August through mid-September is party time for us. {print available}

Cake Under Glass

One of my favorite things is a covered cake dish. It makes any dessert...new or left-over...beautiful. Our dish is still holding my daughter's birthday cupcakes that we'll be using tonight for my son's birthday. He just turned one and won't mind the pink hearts. Don't worry, we'll have a real party for him later with his own cake. {print available}

The Four-Layer Birthday Cake

Its always a treat when you pop over to someone's house finding them eating cake. My husband and daughter did just that this past Saturday. They needed to pick something up at a neighbor's house and inadvertently stepped into their daughter's seventh birthday family get-together. They not only got cake, but brought home a piece for me. Four layers no less! {thanks Mary & Lauren} {available}
